I’ve had a bit of set back the last two days - with so much pain, and just pure exhaustion. I slept pretty much all day Monday - I think it ended up being about 16 hours. Last night I woke up sweating with an obvious fever so he ordered more antibiotics. I’ve been cuddling on the couch with Hooper all day because I just can’t seem to get warm. And it snowed today and I couldn’t even get out to enjoy it.

Getting up this morning was rough. My leg started throbbing as soon as I lowered it down to crutch it into the bathroom. I couldn't wait to get back to the sofa. I took my brace off and saw lumps on my legs from the swelling that accumulated in between the brace brackets. The nurse took a picture of all the bruising and swelling but I’m too tired to put it up here and I need ice and more elevation now. I haven't been able to use the CPM machine so the nurse comes and is massaging it. I wanted to feel a little better today. I'm a bit discouraged. It was a weepy day today just watching TV and all the holiday specials about family. The pain meds are making me nauseous, so I've been trying to cut back. Cutting back has been a bad idea. I think it's just too early because I feel like I've been run over by a truck.

Dear BJ,
I can understand why you feel discouraged.
I hope you start feeling better about the recovery soon.

Can you eat something with the pain meds? Does that help prevent the nausea? I'm guessing that you would need to eat something that doesn't require much preparation / cooking.
Thank goodness for the nurse.

BJ, you will get better. The antibiotics will work.
You'll feel better about all this in a few days.

Did you watch the Charlie Brown specials on tv tonight? I always like them but I don't have any memories associated with them -- so I can enjoy them.

Thank god for the nurse is so right. But I personally wish that some
of us were closer to come help too.

I also wish that you could go to a place were there was someone
more accessible to help more of the time.

I'm sending hugs, prayers and so really hoping things start to look
up soon.

Dear BJ

Are you OK? I was listening to a song that someone posted in the sanctuary area called,"Breath of Heaven". It was beautiful. I hope that you are alright dear one. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Dear BJ,
Is anyone checking on you during the day? Does the nurse or an aid or someone like that come by?
I hope that you are all right.
Maybe you can call your church and ask for a visitor.
