Trig Once again laid off :(

I went to work this morning, and I was confused by the schedule because there were two of them. I found out through the manager that I was suppose to be told yesterday by another manager that I can no longer have hours because the store is down by 40%. So if they do not call me in a week or two that means I was laid off once again. I pray they call me back with hours because one I have bills to pay, and two I really want to work for retail. I love what I do and it is a very interesting environment for me to work for. I at least made some new friends my last two weeks working there who want to still hang out with me. The people I worked with were not mean to me at all. So I am glad. I handled this a lot better than I thought I would. I usually go into instant mania and start hating everything and everyone but I am fine with it and I feel hopeful. That is a BIG difference compare to like what I have gone through. I was kind of expecting it in a way I guess. I pray I get a job that is secure again! Please help this country Lord!

Sharla

Oh, man,
This is crummy. 'Sorry that you got laid off.
We will miss your work stories here.

I'm glad that you are handling it well.
That probably makes you feel good about your medical treatment and the work you have done to feel good.

Maybe you can find some good things in this. Will you have more time to relax or catch up on projects?

I'm hoping for a big sign -- like a huge rainbow -- that the economy will find some good change soon.

I hope something happens with the economy and employment soon...

I am unable to work (would love to work) but I feel so bad for people that are being laid off or let go....

Major employer here just announced they are laying off 800...effective... the day they leave on the holiday shut down...

It's quite scary....

Yellowfever... I hope they call you with hours soon!!

I know right? I feel bitterness than depressed. I have to say that I am handling this so well that I just am astounded. I am not panicking at all. What is up with that ????? This is an awesome medicine! I did cry a bit today but I did not bite my wrist, I did not scream or become hysterical. This is a first!

Thanks for your reply I do get more time to do my homework however

Well at this rate if they do than great! But at the same time I should find a place more stable. Common sense I should know better.

Red face Hi Sharla

I'm sorry to hear of this... i've had several friends laid off over the years and it is always an unpleasant feeling, aside from the clear economic difficulty it places on a person.

Good luck finding a new, stable job that you like. I'm glad for the friends you made at this job at least. Something good came of it.

And most of all, well done on how you are handling things. I'm glad your meds are helping... you also sound very self-aware, so i tend to think it is a combination of a positive psychological change on your part, besides the neurochemical factors with the meds.

Hang in there!

I'm sorry to hear that. It's cold of them to lay people off before Christmas. I'm sorry. It sounds like you are taking it well. BF
