Hi, Did you get in touch with the pharmacist? It does sound to me like a side effect of a medication.
I hope it has worn off by now. I hope you got an answer too. Don't forget to call your p-doc too. Good Luck, Nikko |

The pharmacists isn't in yet. He won't be in until 11 so I'm told.
I'm still buzzing like crazy and it's so frustrating. I'm soooo tired but I can't sleep. I need to shut down my mind and my body. I hope he has some answers. If not, I'll call my pdoc. I just hate to bother her on a Sunday.

The pharmacist just called back and he said I should call my pdoc ASAP. He's thinks it might be from the Depakote but he's not sure and shouldn't take it until I hear back. Gosh, I feel like lab rat here with all these meds.

I'm glad that you called the pharmacist.
Did you hear back from your pdoc yet? Is the buzzing still happening? Mari |

Does your new pdoc know about this possible diagnosis for you? The depokote may have...may have...triggered the buzzing? I really don 't know. Hopefully you will hear from the pdoc ASAP! (((HUGS)))) bizi

I finally heard back and she thinks it's the Depkote causing it. Some people have this reaction to it. I forgot the word she used para something. She doesn't want to cut me back yet because I've gone too long without anything. She's hopeful it will be just a temporary thing. But I should take the Seroquel because she said it might knock me out and keep taking the Lamictal. Now that would be a good thing. If I still have it tomorrow to call and she might have to adjust it but at this point she doesn't want to. She thinks this will be a good combo for me. We'll see.
I did mention the possible fibro and she said I should get in to see someone about it and to get a referral from my primary. Interesting she said lots who are bipolar also have fibro. Let's hope I buzz off because I'm exhausted but relieved I guess.

That's great that you heard from the pdoc and that you feel more relieved now. I used to get paresthesia from some of my meds. It freaked me out. My pdoc didn't think it was a big deal but I went off them anyway. The seroquel will help you sleep. Do you have to be up early on Monday? Mari |

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has had this Mari (but sorry you did). She didn't think it was a big deal either but it's not her feeling like "things" are under your skin. But what's keeping me awake is the buzz in my head. It's so annoying but I'm trying to block it out.
Unfortunately, I have to be up at 5:45AM for work. I just hope I can get some sleep. But it's either this or another episode which I'm trying to avoid.
