Heart

Next available appointment was/is March 16th... I took it.

The Pdoc is only in the office where I go twice a week...then in his other office 3 days a week. This weeks appointments were completely booked...So I have to wait.

I'm holding on... now I'm in a wild sleep cycle... sleep 15, awake 15-30, sleep 15... and so on. Right now I'm fighting the want/need to sleep...

Thank you all for caring!!!
I'm holding on... and will let everyone know how things are going when I can.

Abbie
Dear Abby,
It sounds like you are on a wild ride.
Maybe others will add their views.
My view is that you might not want to fight the sleep.
Sleep whenever and however much you can until they get you better meds.

Default Abbie - sleep is GOOOOOOD

i agree with Mari 100% on the sleep.

sleep can prevent mania.
it can reduce the manic sx and agitation.
it will reduce anxiety.

it is generally restorative to body functions.

i would definitely go with it whenever you can sleep. as it is sounds like there are long periods when you don't... so when you can, take advantage of it.

sleep deprivation can induce mania.

Hang in! And i do appreciate the update!
Thanks for popping in... when you can is good.

Dear Abbie,
How are you doing? How about sleep?
Did you see the pdoc again?
I hope that you are doing better.

Sending some thoughts for some help. Hoping you can find a
neutral thought I think.

thank you for checking in, Abbie. sorry you are going through this.

i once described a mixed mood (per my pdoc) of mine as riding a roller coaster upside down........... with my face being ground into the dirt at times. and yes, it's abominable. i hope to goodness you feel better soon.

i started to get mixed sx myself recently but we upped my meds almost immediately and quite aggressively *before* i went full swing and i am doing better now. feel kinda DUHHH from the med increase and put on 5 kilos in 2 weeks (11lbs) but better, moodwise.... it can happen! that coaster WILL stop. it WILL.

you are always in my thoughts. sending you healing energy.

This is how I feel... both at the same time....

Frustrated...
Abbie
When I was not treated I would get both at the same time and it would hurt a lot! And I was so tired and SO hungry and I felt like the world was against me. But clearly the world it not of course. It is really hard.

I hope you feel better soon

One thing I read about Bipolar disorder is to not stay in bed too long as well. When it is time to wake up in the morning wake up right away and get out of bed. Take a shower and just avoid bed during the day. If anything it would be better to sit on a couch than lay or sit on a bed wide awake. Getting outside for a walk is good too or sit under a tree. I have to avoid my bed during the day because I love to lay in bed all day and that is bad for someone like me.
