Unhappy Waking up AGAIN during the night

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh here I go again, a few good nights on 25mg of Seroquel sleeping, and boom here I am again, waking up, reading magazines, etc.

I think some of it is pain, but I take a pain pill before bed. Maybe 25mg isn't much, not sure (Seroquel).

I woke up the other morning, and I had been having a nightmare that HE was in my living room, looking for things and talking to me, but I wouldn't answer, then I woke up like the dead. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Had to hoist my mom into bed the other day AGAIN. Calling her DR today to see if she can get some PT, because she needs it badly, she uses her walker, but she is all crunched over when she doesn't use it.

I am waiting to hear when and where my PT is going to be. Have to go the conservative route for my lumbar at this point. It really hurts, I am such a baby when it comes to pain. Sorry to complain.

Hugs, Nikko

Default medication

Nikko,
Did you say you recently started a new medication. When my daiughter started Lyrica she had terrible insomnia. Also heavy sweats.

Maybe romvong one of the newer meds will see if that helps?

I hope the nightmares stop too. Watch medications with that. SSRI's have my daughter seeing and visitng with deceased relatives.
She has a low tolerence to everything, especially Effexor, Paxil, prozac, serequol, zyprexa. Some make her insomnia, some diabetic, other psychotic.

Hope you can get a decent night sleep without the night terrors too.
Di

Red face

Yes, the Seroquel 25 mg at night for the PtSD. I was on Trazadone 200mg for sleep, but I guess the effect wore off. Plus told to take my Cymbalta in the morning. The lamictal and klonapin at night too.

Plus the pain med every 12 hrs.

I slept most of today, now I will be all screwed up, because of not sleeping last night and sleeping today. But I am in pain and flet the need to.

Tomorrow is DV counseling, so I will be on the go.

Maybe depression is setting in a bit too. Plus my mom is drinking again, which means she will be falling again due to loss of balance, and it hurts to keep having to lift her up.

I give up.

Hugs, Nikko

Hi Nikko,

My doctor put me on seroquel last month. He has me up to 300 mg, but I have to cut them in half or I feel like I can't swallow or breathe right. So I take one in the morning and am usually able to take a nap while my daughter is at school and take the other half in the evening.

They make me very groggy which is such a welcome feeling after years with so little sleep. I'm not sleeping regular hours, but at least I getting some good sound sleep in now. I do have very vivid dreams while on the seroquel, too.

I have back pain issues, too. I hope that eventually I will be able to sleep "normal" hours with the help from the seroquel. Sleeping has been an issue with me for many years. Nothing has helped like the seroquel and nothing is regular yet, just better. I am still up throughout the night most nights.

I'm sorry about your mom's situation.

Lots a hugs

Nikko I'm so sorry about the nightmares and your mom's situation. I hope that she doesn't fall again and puts you through a scare like that again.

About the Seroquel, my pdoc has me up to 500mg but I still can't sleep. Next week if it doesn't get any better she's going to increase it by 100mg. She swore this would help me sleep, at least a little, but so far it's been a big bomb.

I've been in a lot of pain too and hopefully tomorrow when I see this rheumy she'll come up with something. I'm having burning, throbbing pain and my muscles are twitching all over the place. Maybe this is why I can't sleep either.

Good luck with your mom and I'm sending hugs your way Nikko.
