Default *dances around happily* I got through the MRI! Hurray!

I only spent 30 minutes in the machine and they played my def leppard CD for me so that totally helped, letting Joe Elliott sing to me while I kept my mind on the music and NOT the banging testing machine above and below me. I was stunned when she turned it down and said, "Ok, you're all done."

I am so happy, I planned to take the lorazepam about an hour and a half before the time I was meant to get in the scanner and it worked, only had a little anxiety when intially going INTO the machine (It was an open one or I couldn't handle it) but I closed my eyes and this went away instantly.

I had some anxiety while the test was going on, like I was itchy on my shoulder or my leg, and thought my swallowing would ruin the test, but thankfully it didn't! It's all over with now. All that's left is to see what the Pain Doc thinks of the results, I do NOT want to go on anything stronger, I just wanted to know why my neck is snapping and what was going on to cause more pain.

Should know those answers Thursday. Nothing going on tomorrow, and Wednesday Jackie is going to be home all day because we go to Gainesville for his pdoc appt. then I go thursday to get the test results and see the pain doc, and friday the health dept is holding a dental day where they are giving away one free extraction or simple filling for the first 100 people there. I hope to get there before too long and be in the first 100. It starts at 7 am and Jackie doesn't get on the bus til 8:15 so I can't get there til about 8:30. I hope they haven't filled up by then. Only time will tell...

Pam

I'm so glad things went so well.

Sending you some hugs. And wishing you could figure out a way that
someone else could put Jackie on the bus so you could get there
earlier on Friday.

I am so happy things went well too Donna, it's scary to be put in a MRI machine, I just had terrible anxiety going in but I did as the tech suggested, shut my eyes and it was gone, when I felt the table stop moving I was able to open them again and did pretty good I think.

Yeah it is a shame I can't have someone else get Jackie on the bus, I don't think he'd get dressed and do his morning routine for anyone else, so we just got to hope that we'll be able to be fit in.

Pam,

Can you keep him at home, then?

It seems that getting to the dentist is a good way for you to focus on yourself. You focus on other people a lot.

You deserve focus too.

Pam

I think I'd schedule it so that Jack is getting him on the bus.
Have him up and getting ready. Maybe have his clothes out
and even consider having him wear them to bed. He can
always have extra's ready to take to school.

Also consider telling him how big a boy he will be if he can
help mommy with this one thing this time. Maybe giving
thought to how he can have a special surprise that night.

Just make sure you have it then. He has been surprising
you so give it a try. If nothing else he will just stay home
with Jack.

I am letting Jack go first so he can get a tooth yanked, it's been bothering him for months, and he just can't stand it anymore. So I guess I just lose out on this free dental day unfortunately.

ANyway I have made my choice, and it's just a shame.

I go tomorrow to get the MRI results and will be talking to my pain dr about switching to something that isn't as damaging to the liver as the stuff I currently take which has tylenol in it.

Hi Blue!

I love all their music honestly, but I'd have to say some of my u ltimate favs are "Tonight," "Love Don't Lie," "It's Only Love" for newer songs, and older songs I enjoy are ANYTHING off the first album "On Through The Night" and the second album "High & Dry" those two are hard rocking heaven IMO! Do you like the old stuff and the new stuff or what? What are some of your favorite songs?

Turtlini is doing pretty good, just got fed and is swimming around his tank enjoying the warm water.
