We took a walk around the neighborhood and drove it to see what the distance was. Our walk is 1.5miles.
It was very hot today 98. our poor grass is dieing like everyone elses. I had a very healthy day of eating. AND by cutting back at each meal a few caloires...I actually get to have a blue berry beer and a mini chocolate bar!!!!

I have cut nearly all carbs from my diet... cut way down on sweets... eating about 5 small meals a day... AND I'M STILL GAINING WEIGHT!!!!
I gained 5lbs in a week.... At this rate... I'll be 300 pounds by Christmas.... Abbie

the only way that I can lose weight is by counting calories.I try to watch my carbs , eat a high fiber light bread by natures own and low carb tortillas that are high fiber that is my bread intake.
I should be in bed asleep but just took a much needed shower and my nite meds so any time now, jeff is working on his nails going to try to record some of his cd tomorrow, worried about that, it has not been going well for him, keep your fingers crossed that it will work out ok for him.

WEll I found out today that my favorite sandwich at sub way
(turkey and ham flat bread) has only 350 calories! They load it up with lots of spinach tomatoes, onions, peppers, hot ones too and use their spicy mustard, no cheese. I was so happy to figure that out! WE ate a light dinner so I am very happy that with the movie we are going to watch tonight I am having a blueberry beer, a bag of light popcorn and my little bar of chocolate. Such a decadant snack!!!! and I am following my diet!!!!! I love counting calories...I know that sounds odd but it really gives me control of the foods that I should be eating, we have had more fruits and veggies this week then we have ever had. beth

So for me I would have to eat around 2,000 a day to maintain this weight...I am kind of making these numbers up as I wish I could find such a site. maybe mari can help? You may have a very slow metabolism and only require a small amount of calories. So if I only eat 1300 calories a day that is 700 less than 2000 x 7=4900 calories which is about 1 1/2 pounds of weight lost in a week. Would you like some help coming up with meals? First cutting out all carbohydrates isn't a good idea. You should be counting
them instead. Its much better to eat a certain amount each meal and then say 2 or 3 snacks a day. On my diabetic menu its even 20 or so carbs for a snack. And I'm thinking my breakfast and lunch are around 30 carbs but don't quote me. My supper is 60. Donna |

My feet, ankles, legs and most of my body often are swollen due to the RSD... It doesn't help either that I have a illness induced, sedentary life.....
Pdoc put me on Synthroid about a month ago... I'm on a low dose right now. Pdoc said my blood work showed my Thyroid levels in the low-normal range but he would rather they be in the high-normal range. I'm not sure but I think he said something about upping this med soon. I started gaining weight at a fast pace when I was put on Seroquel... Seroquel, Lyrica, and Cymbalta all have weight gain in the side effects... Lucky me, I'm on all three. I don't eat much... raisin bran with 1/2 cup skim milk for breakfast, Lunch is usually a lean cuisine meal, and dinner is usually chicken and steamed veggie... in between I eat yogurt (light) or cottage cheese... I constantly have a water bottle with me...32 ounce and I refill it about 5 times a day. I can't wait to see how much I weigh when I step on the scale tomorrow... Abbie

Within the last month I have went from 500mg Seroquel to 800mg, added 50mg Amitryptilin, added 50mcg Synthroid, switched from 1.5mg daily of Klonopin to 2mg daily of Xanax.
I also take 90mg Cymbalta, and 600mg Lyrica daily. Abbie
