That is one good thing about living alone, if i don't shower i don't have anyone around for it to matter to. I use to not mind to shower but lately do no like to.

Default Me too

I want to stay clean, but I have a hard time jumping into the shower. It sometimes causes allergy attacks, and I gag,and perspire in the shower. So I turn the water to cool to counter the perspiration. I hate that. It doesn't happen very often now. It's been happening for many years.

I think that the allergy attack in the shower is a combination of a anxiety, and a allergy attack. I think it's mostly anxiety, but my allergys are present being fueled by moisture, and steam.

I use those Lysol Disinfecting Wipes on the shower curtains currently, and the shower walls. I've used different things,at different times. I've even used a steam buggy to keep mildew away. I don't think steaming devices work to well for cleaning.

I've used different soaps. When the allergy fight is over, and I'm in the shower,I feel much better. Then I'm ready to shave, and brush my teeth.
It's not always in that combination.

It's always easier to clip those toe nails after a shower. Like someone else said, I love, and hate showers.

I have a dehumidifier, and they work well removing the humidity after a shower. I haven't brought it out for the summer yet. There's no need for dehumidlfiers in the winter. BF

Red face I need a shower so bad...

I have to see my pdoc today...

I need a shower so bad... if i don't have one i am going to be ashamed to be sitting in his office. Regardless if i am "clean enough" through short-cut means or what.

I don't know if i will be able to get myself in the shower. Am very put off getting under all that water right now. And dad is cooking dinner WAAAAY EARLY as usual, thus heating up the whole stupid house. The windows are shut as it is even hotter outside. So even if i took a cool shower, the clear-up afterwards efforts will not only wear me out but get me all sweaty. Yuck.

The last time i had a shower in similar conditions i had to lay down even before cleaning up, because i got breathless and had bad pain on my chest (sternum)... i.e. anxiety attack.

I really need to wash my hair and must shower to do that.

Omitting the hair, I can put it in a bun and washcloth myself etc, but that still isn't quite the same.

I hate this.

i took a bath this morning...a bubble bath-....it seems less stressful than a shower...i went to the doctor's today. lol if i don't think about it too much it is easier to do...but a shower has too much stimulation.
bobby
ps I was thinking of using wash and drys and couldn't figure out anything wrong with them. it just seemed easier to take a bath today

Thumbs up That's really cool, Bobby

I hope the bath felt good. There was a period in my life where i loooooved to take baths. I don't like leaving soapy stuff on before drying but it's easy enough to splash-rinse off with plain water (even without using the shower) before getting out.

Baths have such a luxurious feel to them.

I do hope you felt real good afterwards.

btw, how did the visit go?

I keep hoping that a bath and I can become friends again.

Right now I still can't get up out of one. So I'm really wishing it
was possible.

Hi,
I'm showering once a week it seems and I am not feeling bad about it -- trying to see it as a chore like anything else I make myself do and not about my inherent goodness.

I am concerned that other matters of hygiene are also a mess.

And what does it say about me that my little office is a mess? (It smells in here and I prob need a bio hazard crew to start hauling stuff out.)
If someone showed the state of my office on tv, people would be concerned about my mental health -- oh and they would have reason to be concerned because I am not managing well in all matters.
Who can manage in all matters??

Sometimes I have to pick and choose what and how much of of something is going to get handled on any given day / week / month. Plenty of stuff gets dropped. I keeping as much of my sanity and stability as possible.

M.
