Default Today I.....A space to just be

A very dear friend started a "today I" thread on the OBT forum and our new one. I found it a great way to drop a note or read for an update of a little bit of the day in a snap shot.

We can come in and say good day as low pain or good doc visit, or we vcan say grandchildren were home to visit,
Found a great brand of Coffee, had a good night sleep OR Sleeping bad and terrible pain day!

Just a hello this morning nothing new! It does not take the place of starting thread, do that too...it is just what it is, a place to read, like picking up the newspaper in the morning.
Maybe it will work, maybe not.

If you want to give it a try....

The thread can grow to hundreds of pages, no one goes back to start on page one, all that counts is "Today."

You post how a medication is working, a post that pain is high today, send me a hug, found a great Christmas gift or houselhold help, or Hi I am here today, everyone keep warm.

I'll start my first one,
I had a good evening last night!

One part of the holidays I do enjoy is seeing the Christmas lights.
I had fun last night when the son took me and my youngest along with DIL, her Mom and grandson to see a Christmas Lighting display in a center strip of a local town.

A lot of people had nice homemade little houses and worshop, and even Santa was ther, he had Potato Chips from the local plant "Wise Chips" and even doggie bones for Maggie and Ginny!

______________________________

Its the weekend, anyone have plans?
Have a nice day.
Dianne

Feel free to post whatever it is you would like, to drop in and share today, or just say hello, or read what others post......

Today I hurt everywhere. But I plan on being good to my self. Only do what is important. Like hug my kids and rest.

Oh butty,
I was down in late October and it was great!
I wish you the best time.

If you need any tips for discount tickets let me know. I have links to lots of discounts, register at Mousavers.com for the Dec. 16 newsletter or I can send a link to the Nov. one. We had tickets for Universal $85 for 5 days.
Enterprise has a weekend rental that starts THursday for $15.99 I had a NIssan Sentra, we were able to leave on-site for Dinner and attractions. I think for three days it was $55.

While there I went to the Medievil Times a jousting knights and horses event that was great. They have a nice Dolly Parton one and Arabian nights, horses.

My kids both adult and young had a blast.

I don't know if you need one, but with my bad back, I rented a scooter for my daughter and I, Randy's delivers and picks up. Saved our trip. I also had a rollator walker, I could put a small cooler with water, a basket for carry alls, and a place to sit my butt while waiting in lines.

This is the one I bought,
I liked this one too:

Default Hey

Dimarie,

I am so excited, we got all of it planned, hotel, tickets, park hopper passes, and I have even (much to my husband's gripe) planned reservations for restaurants every night!! and Cirque tickets, cannot wait to see that, never been to Disney, at 34, I wanted a vacation to DO STUFF as opposed to just sitting on a beach watching everyone doing the congo line and shots.

Besides Bipolar, I AM OCD BIG TIME!!

Yes we will rent a car one day to visit his mom a hour away, Enterprise sounds good, I will look into that.

I AM BEYOND HAPPY to get away.

Enterprise will pick you up, they are at the Raddison Hotel. Alamo has a lot of codes they send me too.

Are you doing Chef Mickey's?

It is tough to keep a schedule at Disney, so keep relaxed about schedules if you must change times, cancel or take time for a nap.

If traveling with family members with disability, I found Disney so accomadating. We asked for a handicap access room for a bit more room and hand rails to get in the tub, they gave us attaching suite no-charge!

Take a little collaspable cooler, strong zip locks to fill with ice. Also, I don't know the temp, it is coller today, but it was 98* we were tehre., I bought a portable fan/squirt bottle to wet us down and cool off.

Pap Johns delivers if you need a pizza, there is an Internet coupon for $2.00 off.

Get Dr. Schols for the shoes. Foot spray, moleskin for blisters starting.
We did Animal Kingdon early in the day as they close by 5:00 PM and then went to Epcot for the lazar show fireworks. I think it was Monday that magic Kingdom was open to midnight.

Check out the Pirates of the Carribean, Captain Jack sparrow is there 10:30 Am. His character can be found in the display now.

Oh, gosh we were there 5 times, this last one was the first time since 911, we were there 9/30 that year.
I love it!You will have a great time!
Di

Smile Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse

Dear NuttyBuddy,

My family met in Orlando a few years ago for a sort of reunion.
I didn't go into any of the parks (been there before too many times).

I do remember that we drove to Universal Studios Escape and had lunch at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville and Emeril's Restaurant Orlando (We couldn't agree on one restaurant.) My younger brother and his wife get a big kick out of the comedy clubs and the themed restaurants.

You are soooooo lucky not to be going with family!

DiMarie is right about schedules. Things take much longer. Parking the car becomes a bigger deal than you would expect because after you park you have to take moving side walks (or whatever) to get inside the park. The lines for most things are long except for early early in the day.

You sound like you are staying inside the resort. That is cool.
You can come back and nap before you go back out again.

Wear a hat or sun screen because our sun, even in winter, can be strong for visitors. And it s*cks to get sunburned on the first day.

And the hotels have gyms and pools usually.

Expect to pay a fortune for food.
And spend the money to get your picture taken with Winnie the Pooh or Mickey.
We bought Winnie the Pooh stuff at WALMART for my hubby's nieces and nephews.

Mari

Have a great time at Disney. Its the best place in my opinion
for a holiday. I have always wanted to take my kids at christmas,
know will have to wait and try to take grandkids and Derrick some
year.

I had a great day watching a group of disabled kids play basketball.

I got to watch my 15 year old help a group of kids have a ball. He
is a wonderful young guy. He has epilepsy, and is mildly handicapped,
and has anxiety. But you can't tell it lots of times. But I also got
to watch a little about 8 year old sit in the middle of the court refusing
to get up and do a thing. She has autism, was new to the team today.

I watched a sibling of one of the boys, go out and she finally with a
little help, got the little girl to join in. It was a wonderful site.

Somedays its so neat to watch how life can unravel the wonders of
the kids that need the extra's in life.
