Glad that you returned safely home.

Sending prayers that your father in law has a good recovery when the
time comes.

Unhappy

Thank you for remembering waves,
you are a sweetie.
In a nut shell they did not do the procedure.
something about his cardiologist wanting him on plavix and aspirin, but the urologist guys not approving the procedure then...it is really not very clear.
To me it ment to restart the plavix after the procedure.
my hubby is going to call in the morning to try to get a better answer as his mother needs help doing this.
they had already stopped the blood thinner for 5 days prior to the lithotripsy date, saw the cardiologist to get an ok for the procedure and he did give the go ahead but had a note at the bottom of the fax that said start the plavix and asa. I don't think that is clear.
so hopefully jeff will get a better answer tomorrow.
There was also some infection control issues. He had MRSA staph infection 5 years ago and they said it never was proven to be cleared up
so he was on isolation while in the office and they did a nasal swab to run to make sure it was cleared up...she had to gown and glove up...it was jsut crazy for them.
What an awful day for them.
larry is considering just forgetting the whole thing...he is not in any pain, then they were talking about not doing the lithotripsy and going in thru the groin....why would you do an invasive procedure if someone is supposed to be on a blood thinner?????
sorry I am just frustrated.
hopefully jeff will get these answers tomorrow.

Heart aww man

Geez, i'm really sorry, Beth!

what a mess! I can imagine Jeff's parents are quite beside themselves. I sure hope Jeff can help get the information and requirements and contingencies all sorted out tomorrow. It is quite complicated with the past infection and blood thinners in the picture too. And i yeah... that is weird... doing invasive surgery with blood thinners??? hello??? hmmm.

Well, thanks for checking in. Keep us posted when you can.

I hope you are able to get some rest in spite of this stuff. I realize it is incredible stress.

~ waves ~ sending soothing vibes you and Jeff and both his parents

Dear Beth,
This does indeed sound frustrating.
I hope will get the answers for his father and I hope that you are ok.
