Trig "Boy Interrupted"

Did any one see this on HBO? This documentary has been shown on HBO recently. It was about the life of a boy with Bipolar II disorder, who ended his life when he was 15. It was one,and a half hour long.

It's good that they are educating the public. I made mention of this documentary in the SOS forum also. BF

As professional filmmakers, they were accustomed to making extensive personal films and videos of the family, but never suspected that their footage of son Evan - taken from the moment of his birth throughout childhood and adolescence - would end up becoming the primary source material for this moving account.

– a film directed by the mother of a boy who committed suicide at age 15 after 10 years of battling with diagnosed bipolar disorder. He goes through periods of happiness, then periods of extreme depression.

Suicide is a subject all-too-common since the age of 5. All seems to be going well for the first time in years as he moves into his teenage years, but then he’s slowly taken off meds and, without warning, he jumps from his New York apartment bedroom window.

Doctors should listen closely to their patients, and study these case historys that end in suicide.

One of my doctors was falling asleep during a psychiactric session with me one time.

Sometimes I wonder if they are really hearing with a listening ear. BF
