I am super sleepy today. The weather is suppose to be bad on count of the hurricane Bill. I think I'll stay in the bed a lot today. I do not drive in heavey rain.

Driving… After my accident I had a major case of PTSD. Luckily it’s one of those things that psychologists can actually help you with. I started out driving up and down my driveway. The car is still not my “happy place,” but I can now drive short distances in light traffic provided I’m singing at the top of my lungs. (Don’t ask me why: the only other time I sing is when we’ve got rats we need to scare out of the basement.) Surprisingly, nobody wants to drive with me either.

Peat and REpeat got here around the noon hour and have worn their Auntie completely out!!

I just got REpeat to bed... actually she asked me to take her to bed.. guess she's tired too.

Now for Peat...he's a little harder to get to sleep... I think Grandma is sitting with him trying to get him to relax and fall asleep.

I got to hold my new nephew today... he's absolutely adorable!!! He has his eyes wide open all of the time.. he looks around and even looks when you say his name. He's 2.5 weeks old and hold his head up strong.. no more bobble head baby.

I had to take my mom to the store today... I drove...but it was a white knuckle, breath-holding trip. I made sure that I was stopping way behind the car in front of me and holding my breath that the car behind me would get stopped.

Hope everyone is having a GREAT weekend! It was a gray cloudy cool day here... I think it got to about 72 in my neck of the woods.

Hello,

I looked on my calendar a minute ago and saw that I missed the appt with the hospital neuro on Thursday.


I thought it was next week.
The dr's office did not call to confirm because we changed our phone number.

I'm feeling overwhelmed.
Today I mostly slept and ignored everything.
The only thing that works for anxiety is to sleep.
When I'm awake I'm feeling anxious.


I don't know how to get on track with the move and everything I need to do to be ok.
Kind of freaking out about how to manage.

Wish I could have 2 extra hours in a day, and 2 days extra in a weekend.
I think I would use them for sleep without guilt
We are going to Canada for dh to take step daughter to a baseball game. Just got our passports back in time.

Now have to practice the drive in my mind and days away from home...
Poor dd, she had terrible anxiety panic the trip last summer. I hope it is easier this year. Time will tell.
She starts back her cyber school on the 1st.....Not at all looking forward to it. I could use another month off there too!

When driving I tend toward the hymn “Closer my God to Thee.” Hmm… Maybe I’m not as over the PTSD as I’d like to think. For the rats, commercial jingles work best.

I’m sorry you missed your appointment. I’m always either doing that or arriving at the wrong time. I have this “memory book” where I’m supposed to write all that stuff down. Problem is, even when I don’t forget the book, my battered brain can’t always interpret the information correctly. I try not to beat myself up over these things: if my brain worked properly I wouldn’t need all these appointments in the first place.
