Did anybody else read the new book about Stephanie Plum? I thought it was very funny especially when they named their barbecue team. I was happy to have the grandmother more involved in this book.
Does anybody else follow the series? I just love her work!

I've read them all.
The earliest ones were the best IMO. Then they sort of got into a formula rut....but 14 was pretty good again. I haven't read this one yet. After my 4000 pg committment this summer to George R.R. Martin... I'll be going to the library soon!

I'm a follower too.
Many of the gal investigator/PI type books I've come across I have enjoyed quite a bit. Or the caterer/candy maker/baker that solve the local crimes...all good Have you read Sue Grafton ? http://www.suegrafton.com/bookshelf.asp?ISBN=0399152970 I see I've missed the 2 latest ones. oh and these are pretty good too - Christina Skye http://www.christinaskye.com/books/booklist.htm I had to try to recall her name ,. all I could remember was the title of the first book I read. The Code Name books are best read in order since they follow/spin off each other. some pretty racy passages - murder, intrigue

There is a "gardener" mystery series too... Dang...I forgot her name, but they are interesting/funny too.... just found it on Amazon... Ann Ripley is the author.
Death by Chocolate-- and others in this series are great too. You know who else is really good? Edna Buchanan. (she has a Pulitzer prize) Her books are best read in order too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edna_Buchanan These are based on real crimes I believe, and the humor sprinkled thru them is secondary to the story as a rule, but blended very well.
