What can I say!!!

THE MOST VISUALLY STUNNING MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN. And I've seen them All!!!

This movie reminds me of an LSD trip, AND I'VE NEVER TAKEN LSD.

I just sat there and looked at all the blue people and flying things and I went to heaven. If you ever want to forget about some of your problems, and you want to get lost inside a beautiful stunning movie, GO AND SEE AVATAR.

This will definitely win special effects and other Academy Awards.

And the colors!!!

Oh my!!

Anyone out there see this yet?

Mel

Hi Melodyl

It’s been cold here in New Orleans, so I decided to take myself to a Movie.

I went to an IMAX showing of AVATAR in 3D and It was especially visual in 3D.

It was a good way to lose yourself for a couple of hours.

Bob:

First, WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE MOVIE?
Second: What kind of Imax was it? I know it's 3D, but were the seats all on one level, or were they up high against the wall. There are different kinds of Imax's.

Thanks much,

Melody

The theater where I saw the movie has very large screens with stadium seating.

When I go, I take the elevator to the second floor so I’m viewing the movie the same as everyone else.

I enjoy watching a program (on TV) called science of the movies. So when I see a movie like avatar I often wonder how all the visual effects were done.

In New Orleans we have a theater built especially for IMAX. Our theater showered regular movies (actually there are 23 movies ).

The size of the screens suggests it’s the same size as a regular IMAX movie and they use 35mm film that is used in all IMAX programs.

I felt the story could have been better James Cameron wrote the story, directed and produced the picture. It hard to say when the visual effects are so great. The whole thing took 2 hours and forty mins and I never got boared.

Thumbs up Just watched Avatar

Avatar has just come out in Australia on DVD, we watched it the other day and I loved it. The lead actor Sam Worthington is Australian and I think he was great. My daughter has brought the movie in Blue Ray for me for Mothers Day, so I am looking forward to watching it again. The visual affects were fantastic.

Well!!! May 5th was my wedding anniversary.....

and Alan got me the DVD OF AVATAR.

I haven't opened it yet. I'm just looking at it. Alan hasn't seen it yet, I saw it 3 times already.

I want to see it with him so we'll sit in front of our computer monitor, plug in our two headphones, and just sit back and watch the BEAUTY of it.

I hear that they are making a sequel.

Probably calling it "Avatar 2, RETURN TO PANDORA.

Can't wait. That one I WILL DEFINITELY PAY TO SEE IN THE MOVIE THEATRES.

This was an absolutely outstanding movie both for the messages it had in it and the special effects. I was just awed with the beauty of it, I guess with God all things are possible. Lisa

We did get to see it at the IMAX in 3D and it was awesome. First movie we've paid full price to see in many years and it was well worth it. I'd go see part 2 if it comes out. We also bought the DVD and watched it. The 3D was better but even without it it was a great movie.

I'm afraid to take my husband to see ANYTHING in 3D because he has a history of vertigo and he was diagnosed with menieres a long time ago. Thankfully he hasn't had any vertigo symptoms since long ago, but I'm not taking any chances.

I actually read that some people SHOULD NEVER watch anything in 3D and people with vertigo was one of them. It has something to do with changing the way the brain perceives the 3d image.

Now I haven't seen any 3D anything since I saw Michael Jackson's 3D thing WAY back when I went to Disneyworld over 25 years ago.

AND THAT WAS SOMETHING TO SEE.

We were sitting in our seats wearing the glasses (that you hand back to the staff as you exit the building).

What a thrilling thing to behold. Everything was floating in the air right in front of us.

We were laughing and I remember it like it was yesterday. As the images came at us, we were jumping out of our seats, and I remember taking my hands and moving them in front of me because THINGS WERE FLOATING IN THE AIR IN FRONT OF ME.

I would definitely go and see a 3D show of anything. But I won't go alone, and I can't take Alan.

So I'll just watch in plain ordinary 2D.

bye for now.

Melody

Melody - I did have a few waves of dizziness during the movie. Usually when there was action taking place literally right in front of me. I haven't been to a 3D in forever so it was definitely an experience. We were prepared for me to get sick and have to leave but luckily I didn't have to. The movie attendant spoke before the movie and explained that some can get dizzy, etc., and what to do in that case.
