Check your county library system. Our county library system allows you to check out (i.e. download) an e-book to the Kindle for 30 days.

If you live anywhere in CA, you can get an LA library card which gives you up to 10 books at a time for up to 3 weeks. My local county library system is smaller, but also gives options as well.
Additionally, for $35 a year, anyone in the US can get a Philly library card, and has an amazing ebook library. Again 10 books at a time. http://libwww.freelibrary.org |

I'll list the Facebook sites here, I haven't bought a book for my Kindle in years.... unless I really had a special one that I wanted to read. I now have over 1000 books! -Inspired Reads -BookBub.... this is new to me -Pixel of ink -Booklending.com -Kindle Nation Daily -Lendle That's all I can come up with so far..... but these are all good places. Happy reading!! I love my Kindle!! <3 |

Calibre...a site to find & convert books to ePUB format...my daughter uploaded 1000 books for me & has done upwards of 20,000 for herself. Completely free & legal, from shareware.

As Sally said earlier, Amanzon.com has thousands of free books, and I've got quite a few of them.
