Default BBC America's Orphan Black

I read a review of this in a magazine and I just knew I had to watch.

Orphan Black is a BBC America production. The very first episode sets up the premise for the series. It's in its second season, but only by two or three shows. There were 10 shows in the first season which is available On Demand and probably other locations.

Here is Wikipedia's description: Orphan Black is a Canadian science fiction television series created by screenwriter Graeme Manson and director John Fawcett, starring Tatiana Maslany as several identical women who are revealed to be clones. The series focuses on Sarah Manning, a woman who assumes the identity of her clone, Elizabeth (Beth) Childs, after witnessing Beth's suicide. The series raises issues about the moral and ethical implications of human cloning and its effect on issues of personal identity.

Don't let the science fiction wording confuse you. It has nothing to do with space or aliens. Science? Yes. Fiction? Probably...hmmm.

Anyway, plan an Orphan marathon, make some popcorn, open the wine, get the (adult) girls together and catch up on this creative, sexy, addictive, well-done show.

Warning: There is sex. There's drugs. There's alternate lifestyles. There's murder. There's science. There's a cute kid. There's guns. Oh yes, there's 8 clones, (all very different) all adopted out as infants to foster parents. The clones don't know each other, and some are trying to find the others while trying to avoid the bad guys and to learn how they came to be ...

Look for it on BBC America, 11:00 pm Eastern Standard. I can't remember which night the newest show appears, but it repeats a few nights each week.

I love Orphan Black, want more. Get a disc from Netflix but cancelled remainder when I discovered my Amazon Prime gave it instantly to my computer. Try Googling BBC America to see if you can get current season.
