Wink The Artful Detective: aka Murdoch Mysteries

I found this show, season 5 onDemand yesterday.

It is on Ovation, which is a newish channel for us.

If you like a wonderfully sensitive, intelligent, handsome lead actor, and antiques and fascinating stuff of the 1880's in Toronto, this is the show for you.

I am not having any luck with TV this season, and now I have something to watch once a day.

This show is on Sat nights too with "new" episodes, which probably get added to the onDemand list quickly.

I have to wonder at the marvelous detail of all the medical and scientific instruments they use on this show. The camera angles are really good.. almost like paintings in some shots.

Wink

Murdoch and Dr. Ogden get married tonight on Ovation at 7pm.

If anyone is watching this series, it proves to be worth watching!

This show is repeated alot during afternoons, and is also on OnDemand on cable... so I have watched 3 seasons of it (5 -most of 8) during this long painful winter. I hope they start showing the earlier ones, soon. I find Murdoch very interesting, and love all the vintage medical and science items it shows. They are often running into famous people in the day when those people were not yet famous. So I find the story lines fascinating. Winston Churchill was depicted as a young man and the actor was William from Downton Abbey who was killed in WWI and married Daisy just before he died.
