Now, I am not a sexist in ANY way, but I am a Traditionalist. There are not enough female Nerds out here to make this film a success with an all-female cast, and it will not hold the interest of male Nerds like me. Even the original Director refused to make '3'.

I'm going to make a sweeping sexist remark about male Englishmen (*&^%) which I've sever known positively in my 60 years, but do like the name Dave, but I think you're right. Sequels often aren't good and is it a complete change of cast into females? This doesn't bode well.

Although the lead role is taken by the wonderful Melissa McCarthy (love Mike and Molly), I don't know the supporting cast, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon (I have heard of Wiig).
The WORST thing about the project is it is now being called a 'Reboot', a lazy Hollywood ploy to parasitically feed off a previous great film or franchise. So, we all know now it's NOT Ghostbusters 3, so call it something else. (RANT!) Dave |
