Default Fare Thee Well primer

4th of July weekend in Chicago the surviving members of the Grateful Dead are holding a series of concerts with Trey Anastasio of Phish sitting in. Even if I had obtained tickets and were free that weekend there is zero chance I would make it half a show on my feet.

But, I will be purchasing the audio at some point down the road.

My favorite era is the late 80s and 1990. I appreciate everyone who has played with the band in their own way, though my favorite member is Brent Mydland, keyboards from post Godcheaux until he passed away 7/26/90 of a heroin overdose.

He had a whiskey voice and his addition ot backing vocals was meaty. Meaty I tell you. When on lead, oh how I can feel it. His keyboard playing style works for me. He is a part of my favorite arrangements on many Dead classics.

Here are two songs from the Spring 1990 compilation, an incredible cover of "Let the Good Times Roll" and to my ear, the best version of "Easy to Love You" recorded.

Enjoy and let some good times roll.
