Default R.E.M. Überlin

I love the song and the video is extremely clever, I think. I have enjoyed R.E.M. since the late 80s, but so much of their melancholy really reverbs these days unfortunately.

This is not melancholy though, I don't think. It starts out mundane and leaps to profound.

Or that is my take.

I always enjoyed listening to R.E.M.

I've been revisiting the 80s music a bit lately. Especially out of UK and a few giant Australian groups.

Midnight Oil has been on my playlist since 1985? 1986? I'm not sure. But I love those guys. Peter became a politician I believe.

Ah yes. The Honourable Peter Garrett AM was at one time Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts.
He resigned from politics a few years back.

Cool Smirk

There is something about R.E.M. that speaks to me - except Shiny, Happy People which even the Band hates. Maybe that says a lot about my mental state.

Of course, top Track has to be Everybody Hurts:

I'm stuck on my phone due to the pain so I cannot cheat and pop in extra Links This has to be one of the best Music Videos ever - Ooh there's a Thread!
