Default The Fear of Dying, Erica Jong

Hi all, woke up to hear an interview with Erica Jong on her latest book, The Fear of Dying. So many around me are leaving us and I know I'm not that far behind them. At one time in my life I was going to write a book, Forever 39 and here I am 77 and no book. I have no fear, just don't want to suffer. And look for humor in it all.

I never read The Fear of Flying, but was part of the sexual revolution and spreading one's wings.

I read Fear Of Flying when I was young and it was enlightening to a country girl. As I got older I reread it and thought it was kind of self indulgent but it was still an important book for me.

I am going to find Fear Of Dying to read, thanks for posting about it. I am a little long in the tooth as well, age 67 but have severe COPD with some complications and I doubt I will see 77 but who knows what will happen.

Kudos to you both. I am 60 and people older than me act like if not acknowledged, death never happen, but that's not true. Circle of life and all that. Like having my eyes open going into everything.
