It is one of my favorite movies, as became clear and then opaque and muddled as I can do.
For Family Movie Night last week we popped it on for my daughter, who is a 4th grader. I had resisted earlier indoctrination for a few reasons, scary parts plus I wanted her language skills a bit further along to pick up some of the nuance. Worth the wait. I think we will we be watching it quite often and when she requests it? As you wish...

That was my favourite movie! Anybody want a peanut?
I know something you don't know! I am not left handed! I can go on....but I wont. I had the book. Not an easy read and the movie is truly just based on the book. Other movies we watch I am always throwing in a line from the princess bride. What about the rous'? Rodents of unusual size...I don't think they exist... Thump. Movie fact did you know that one of the actors who was in the rous was arrested and had to explain he was in the movie....too funny. So who are you? Um a large rodent....lol and Andre the Giant couldn't even carry Cary Elwes on his back..... And I can't help but chuckle every time I watch Mandy Patinkin in any other roll serious or otherwise..... He was a great sword maker my father....ha ha you thougt I was going to say...hello my name is.....you killed my father prepare to die! Be honest!?! Lol So how did your 4th grader like it? |

She loved it and I got to use my vocal talents- boo, boo. Bow, bow down to the queen of putrecence!
Hah. I am sure she didn't pick up everything, but she was captivated.

That's fine. I think the memory of time well spent is what she will take away from it.

It is fine, she was hilarious when Wesley pointed out that someone was looking for the six fingered man.
