Default Concert- Dead and Company

I'm off to see three of the four living members of Grateful Dead, John Mayer and a couple other talented musicians perform the music of the band with a couple friends of mine.

The tickets are not too expensive, though not cheap and my wife- no fan- so I am headed out solo to meet them.

The forecast for my body is brutal. My heart and soul? Satiated and satisfied. Help on the Way!

Jon

Jon,

Let the exhilaration drive you to enjoy the gig to the fullest.

Enjoy yourself.
That would be great to see especially with addition of the much younger and exceptionally talented John Mayer.

I would call myself a John Mayer fan now. Exceptionally talented, indeed. I normally don't mind the smell of pot, I'd even say I enjoy it to a degree. Tonight I had had enough after the first set, though. Hah.

I gather you had a great time Jon.

Lots of people don't seem to think much of John Mayer. I guess his reputation bothers them so they don't listen to him. I have every one of his albums and some dvds as well. I think he's a genius.

The man can play and play well. He was spot on in the "Jerry roll", yet put his own flourish to it, to my ear.

The highlights of the night to me were in the first set, Bertha and Althea. It was obvious he was enjoying himself greatly, as did I.

Now I paid the price last night and this morning- I feel brutal. Today at work is going to be, special.

But as they sing in Althea "ain't no one mess, with you, but you" so I will do my best to stay out of my own way and I will certainly ignore any other noise.

I will be picking John Mayer's catalog to digest. He shreds and I while it is unlikely I will enjoy everything I am fairly certain he picked up a new Mayerite last night...

I'll post a link to the Bertha and Althea when available. Man, that Bertha was epic.

A tongue in cheek Mayer slam, it figures he was on point singing and playing on the songs with female named titles
