Hi, Dave,

How about Nora Jones?

The link for Lady Antebellum doesn't work in "My Country" so here is another link:

On This Winter's Night - Lady Antebellum
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVmrjRxmc4A

Recorded by dozens of couples/groups, including Lady Antebellum, this song gets play in the winter months.
I love that it works in most pairings.
Here is a version from 2009:

Willie Nelson ft. Norah Jones - Baby It's Cold Outside
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DDaG6ayJPg

Some folks find the wolf/mouse play esp predatory in this version because of the 46 year age difference between the vocalists.

Thanks for finding an alternate video, Mari, it is annoying when that happens. By ridiculous co-incidence, your Nelson/Norah Link is not available here and I can only find a version interspersed with interview footage.

I like Norah Jones a lot, but she falls outside of my Generational music.

For sheer cuteness, gotta love the Buble/Menzel video, if not the vocals:

Idina Menzel & Michael Bublé - Baby It's Cold Out…: http://youtu.be/6bbuBubZ1yE

Just a joyous Christmas Celebration song from Sir Elton John, from the era of high waistbands and flares:

Just one more day after tonight:

Queen - Thank God It's Christmas: http://youtu.be/5r8bZCXdVNA

I was a Queen fan before they hit the Big Time. Their music stands the test of time.

Freddie left us with too much music still to make.

I Posted my two most favourite Christmas songs at the start of this Thread of Jim's, so I found myself stuck here at Christmas Eve. I like this music, as with all Genres, it speaks to us, touches us, connects us to the subject matter - hence my list of songs here.

But what could I end with? Until 30 minutes ago I had settled on a Choral version of Hark! The Herald Angels Sing. But I wasn't satisfied, much as I love that Carol it does not fit here. Then, from nowhere, as I had never heard of them before, I found something contemporary by Pentatonix.

[Official Video] That’s Christmas To Me - Pentato…: http://youtu.be/pFjdfjrtf1Q

I will definitely be looking for their work in the New Year.

Merry Christmas.

Dave.

Default Bet you thought I forgot....

Dave,

You asked for a Christmas song and I am finally giving you one. Today is La Befana, celebrated as Little Christmas in Italy, so I am not too late.

I think we all deserve some of these..."Better Days" from the Goo Goo Dolls.

Thanks Littlepaw,

La Befana is an interesting Legend, I had not heard of it before.

I enjoyed your music choice, too, worth the wait.

Dave.
