Default Good DVD's

Some good DVD's that I've seen lately include:
  • Juno
  • Waitress
  • The Great Debater
  • The Bucket List
Anyone else have some to recommend?

Faith

I loved The Waitress and Juno.

Just watched Dan in Real Life and I loved it.

Bucket list is next on my list.

As Good as it gets with Jack Nicolson
I liked Juno too
I saw About a Boy with Hugh Grant
Picture Perfect was ok with Jennifer Anniston

P.S. I Love You was both sad and funny.

I'll have to look at my Netflix to see what I've seen recently. I watch a whole lot of TV shows from the 90s that I missed parts of.

Love that Netflix!

An old one with Bill Murray, "What About Bob?" It's hilarious!

I'll have to see some of those that you all posted. I rarely see movies, so almost everything is new to me.

Default PS I Love you

I loved PS I Love you
Laughed, cried and simply enjoyed.

Saw Juno with my son's girl friend - 17 yr old.
thought it was pretty good.

I saw some good dvd's lately.

I would really check out:
"What's Up Tiger Lily?" - 1967 Japanese film noir flick dubbed in English by Woody Allen about men looking for the perfect egg salad recipe.
"Troll 2" - The best worst movie ever made. You'll get laughs.
"The Triplets of Belleville" - French independent animated film (should have beat finding Nemo for Best Animated Film).
"Alone in the Wilderness" - documentary about one man's quest for survival (which lasted over 30 years) alone in the Alaskan wilderness.

Hope you can find them and enjoy!

I loved "Juno" and "Waitress"!

An oldie but goodie sure-for-a-laugh movie is "Bowfinger" with Eddie Murphy and Steve Martin.

Thanks everyone.

Saw "Definitely Maybe". Was good too.

Will put "Dan in Real Life" nd "PS I Love You" on my list of DVD's I want to rent. Maybe "Bowfinger" too. Haven't seen that. I've seen some of the other ones mentioned.

Thanks for the suggestions. Keep them coming.

DD18 and I seem to be in a "not always getting along" pattern the last 6+ months. She is a recent HS grad, and will only be home for 4 more months. She'll be leaving then to go out-of-state to volunteer for 8-9 months to do home repair in the Gulf States region. Following that will be college -- also out of state. One activity, though, that we enjoy doing together is watching videos. Maybe we'll rent a video this weekend.
