Thumbs Up Gran Torino

We went to see Gran Torino yesterday. Absolutely wonderful movie. Didn't expect the ending ....

If you haven't seen it, go. I've heard it's Clint Eastwood's last movie. I bet Shelley will confirm that.

My son didn't like this movie so I wrote it off...my DD also said the ending was not what you'd expect.

I thought I would see it for myself...not a Clint fan however.

Joe and I went to see it this weekend, C, and we loved it! I'm a huge Eastwood fan and usually like his movies anyway, but this one was so different than anything I've ever seen him do.

The ending was kind of inevitable....JMO.

Yes, it was but not that way! That was what was unexpected!

Thanks for the review. This is my new thing to go to the movies. Before 2 weeks ago I had not been in like 10 years and now in 2 weeks I have been 3 times. Any other good movies people have seen? I saw the Curious Case of Benjamin Button that was good,Marley and Me,and Bride Wars. I know everyone is different but I am hoping for some light hearted ones to come out soon but not stupid if that makes sense

I'm a huge Clint Eastwood fan - haven't gone to see this movie yet, but definitely want to see it! Thanks for posting the reviews!

I saw Gran Torino yesterday and it was very good. It was made too in MI where I'm from though I didn't see anything I was familiar with. Thanks for the suggestion. I really enjoy going to the movies

This movie was great. Im 50 and our generation had parents like Clints character. You have to appreciate that his character hates everyone equally. He still has a look that says it all. My own Dad had one too. He didnt have to say a word and you knew he meant business! God rest his soul.

I am so bummed!!! My neighbor (whom I adore) went to see this movie last night and called and left a message on my cell phone afterwards. Well, I listened to my messages and she said I'd love the movie and then told me the ending!!!! WHAT???

I don't think she even gave it a thought when she did that, but now I can't see the movie; I know the ending, nothing else about it, but the ENDING!!!!!
