Steve - Nice to meet you! Thanks for the amazing pics. Very cool!

So, you can go out in the ocean with the new boat? you can take ones like that out on the lake (Erie) but only on a good day. Erie gets pretty choppy, because it's so shallow. But on a good day, you can go about anywhere - the islands, the intake, etc.

We used to rent a boat and walleye fish all day, catch the limit. (I think it was 6 per person?)

That was years ago though. The fish are still there but I don't think the boat rentals are.

I never realized the nets where so huge. Or that a tuna could be 200lbs.

Have you named your new boat?

I love all those pictures. Thank you for sharing.

What I forgot to mention is in the fall we used to fish in Cape Cod Bay for giant Bluefin Tuna..300-1100 lbs a piece

No name on the new boat

WOW! Thanks for the vidoes! So beautiful!

Steve, I sat thinking about your story, telling dh, and it brought me to tears thinking how hard that had to be for you to give up your boat. And then to go see her again. I'm glad that you did though (go see her, I mean, one more time).

I'm so sorry.

I'm happy for you that you had all of that while you had it though. Too many people never ever live the dream, you know?

How freakin cool that you did.

And not to jinx meself, but dh got an email that they are *considering* him for that Satsuma bridge job! YEAH! so keep your fingers crossed for us, please.

I may be asking questions about those fiberglass boats soon lol. The house I'm looking at has a dock on a canal right off the St. John's River. I need to learn how to shrimp and crab without getting a smack down from that giant manatee and the local manta ray.

:D

Oh, and the name of the road it's on is my maiden name - talk about good juju!

My youngest daughter and I have watched Deadliest Catch together every season it's been on till now. Now she lives in Vancouver and I'll miss watching it with her. It was a family thing we did.

I'm raising her two kids (long story, she's doing well now and has the kids with her for vacations and such but had a hard time getting her life together for a lot of years) and with the kids I watch American Idol every season and they humor me by watching Dancing With the Stars with me.

I really love Ice Road Truckers for some reason. I never miss a season on that. And Ax Men and there's another logging show I can't think of----oh, Extreme Loggers where they long with horses. I like those, too, but my father and grandfather and two husbands were loggers and logging truckers so that's kind of ordinary to me, but I'd like to buy the DVD's for the kids and grandkids to see.
