Unhappy O/T...Grandmother near the end,not what I need right now.

My mom's mom has been steadily declining for the last two years, and she is nearing the end of her life.Mom is calling hospice tomorrow, and when God calls her home..that'll be it.

I am such a mess right now.I can't really think straight,so,if I sound a little sad in my postings for awhile you'll know the reason.

Kristin

A few prayers for us,would be appreciated,I am not ready for this to happen at all!

I'm really glad you're calling hospice. Hospice was wonderful when my wife died..... you'll get a whole team of people that are thinking only of her comfort and how to support you...

Hopefully your Grandmom had a good life..that is all we have the right to ask for...the rest is up to the power that creates life, whatever you believe that is....an old italian Aunt of mine always says "when he says...come uppa...you go uppa".

It might please you to know that the brain does have thought waves and that it is a possibility that residual communication might occur.

I know my Dad definately made a point (after his death) through a repeated dream for me to locate an object. As soon as I did what the dream said (and located this object), the dream stopped and another that was related to the same object started until I found that piece... and then he let me be.

I still don't understand it and never will. But I am relieved to feel that if my dad needed to reach me he could. (like a cell phone!!!)

Good luck with that .... I took care of my Dad for almost 2 years until we could get him into a good nursing home. I wouldn't trade all that frustration and feeling alone and as a slave to his care for anything.

I feel good about what I did for him so you should feel good about what you have to do.
