Default Hi there

I was just wondering where do you all go for support daily. I use to be part of a alzhimers caregiver support group online but got to the point where I felt like if I actually mentioned the daily struggles I got told to put her in a nursing home? I really am looking for a place to go and talk about the daily struggles of this.

I think I posted on this thread a while back but just in case I am caring for my mother in law who is about to turn 83 and has Alzhimers. She is still able to feed herself finger food type stuff and sometimes can go to the bathroom, but it is all getting worse. My husband and I have been her only caregivers for over 2 years. My husband and I are both also disabled.

Hi Mrs. Q,

My mom had dementia but was in a nursing home. I have been caregiving for a neighbor these past 6 weeks and it did have me feeling good about myself. The only problem with me though is that I let it wear me down to where I was always exhausted. It would be great to have some days for you and your husband at times I would think but is hard to.
