Default 8 weeks TBI

Husband had a motorcycle accident caused by someone else. He was wearing a helmet but damaged his both his frontal lobes. Couple of issues, since he is walking and dressing himself very well, no rehab will take him as he is highly functional and is considered a flight risk. He wants to leave the hospital and go home so bad that he has tried a couple of time, he has no idea where home is... he is in the confused state, 3 weeks now. Does anyone have any clue how long this might last? He needs some cognitive therapy and just isn't getting any.

Hi Susan

Welcome to NeuroTalk .

I am sorry to read about your husband.

The TBI forum here (https://www.neurotalk.org/traumatic-...sion-syndrome/) is very active so I am sure that if you post there you will get lots of support and good suggestions from other members.

All the best.
