Hehe, Sandy !!
Those voices I hate too... Sometimes my head even hurts... for thinking, thinking, thinking about something that like you said, I cant change... Hum, it is difficult, but like my cousin someday told me: "Thinking about the past can make you feel sad as you can change it, thinking about the future can make you anxious as you dont know what it will be like, so, think only about this precise moment !" Difficult huu ? I keep thinking about the past... melancholic ? A LOT ! lol and Im afraid about the future... so, if I manage to adopt that philosophy, Im sure I would be happier.... Love, Majo |

I too hear those self doubt voices, and those why bother voices. I find they are louder when I am tired, or under alot of stress. Taking some much needed ME ME ME time helps calm them. Even a simple bubble bath, or a chair on the deck to sit in the sun for 15 mins can help alot. I learned to practice yoga breathing, and meditate. Allow them in, and allow them out. Just let them float through without having to pick them apart.

When I used to read Winnie the Poo to our kids, blustery day had such a wonderful descriptive sound to it....now, as an old f***, it's a miserable word.

when do i not have the little voices? often it is mom lecturing to me. that one is comforting because a part of her is still with me even after death. i imagine her critiquing my clothing choices, especially if i have an interview. sometimes the little voice has the conversation i can't have out loud with someone. then the little voice sticks up for the other guy so i have both perspectives. and people wonder why i am so quiet.
