I just don't get what's going on with this. I know he's older but does that excuse the fact he killed someone? What makes me even more confused is that they KNEW he was capable of this kind of thing. Maybe they should go after who was in charge of these residents that allowed him to play roulette with someone's life.

There are still questions I have. Could the guy be inacent by reason of insanity? Cuz whats he really like? Did he shoot the guy cuz the guy was trying to make him eat the grapes? Did he definately think it was OK to shoot him cuz of this? Just cuz the neighbor said that, was he really an unkind loner who would shoot his gun outside for no reason (did you see or hear it?), maybe that was wrong cuz he was shooting at a bird (but thats illegal in the city, did he think it was OK?). Maybe others heard it thus they knew he was capable of shooting someone. We have the right to keep & bere arms but his shoulda been locked away, away from where he could get it easily. I'm starting to think it was sorta 'the in-laws fault' cuz did they really not know of it but didn't think he'd use it on someone...if they let him,, why did they? Or did a relative sneak it to him once when the old man was visiting...I know someone would go to the relatives with him, but was he with him at all times at relative's house? I just thought..did someone sneak it into the home & give it to him? Maybe that relative 'helped' him by giving him a gun? Or maybe he was mean like some other ppl who kill? So many questions. I have no decisions.....right now.

sabimax, You're right, he should be charged & then they look into it more. Did he say nothing even at first. You must ask why he didn't. He musta been 'with it' enough to know 'don't say anything' as if other ppl would tell him.

I honestly don't know. His age must be playing a huge part in this but there are children left without their father and it's not right to excuse this man's behavior and hold up the charges against him. The caregiver gave his time to take care of this man and this is his thank you? I say charge him and put him in the slammer or mental institution so he doesn't do it again. Somebody is responsible. The question is who?

i have my own opinions on this having worked in care homes for elders...some for physical health probs, some mental health, some for both...sooooo...i'd rather keep my opinions to myself...been attacked enough already for the life i led, the stuff i seen and the opinions i formed but...thank you ALL so much for updates and opinions here.

peace and love to all:hug::hug::hug:
