Looking for info on why my daughter who has CP has suddenly developed a twitching of her arm. It is pretty severe. The arm constantly moves back and forth so much that she cannot use it for any real purpose. The local doc wants to do a eeg cause he thinks it may be a seizure. Anyone with experience with this issue? You can email me at catemark@isu.edu

Hi catemark.
My son had a very similar thing and it did in fact turn out to be seizure related. This in itself is nothing to worry about and can very likely be controlled with the right medication. My own son's was controlled with a mixture of clonazepam and tegretol. After that we took him to a place called 'Snowdrop' - their therapy brought him on so well that he no longer needs the medication. |
