Thanks Mrs. D
But it is not making any sense to me. ANd the third article is missing now. I was hoping for a picture, so I could tell if I'm dealing with this. But I'll try reading again. Donna |

The only thing I've found to clear up my adult skin which never cleared from my teenage years has been ProActive. I wish I had tried it when I saw the ad on TV back in the mid 90s. I've done the prescription stuffs. I've done the OTC stuffs (all of them). I've done the health food store stuffs as an adult. Just nothing worked long term, I might get some healing to happen in a few weeks but it never stayed.
FYI - I found that the Salacytic (sorry don't know how to spell it) Acid stuff in most OTC products made my skin worse. And I found that some of my out breaks in my teen years were Staph Infection which needed antibiotics when I broke out as an adult. I think the alcohol based toners and dermatology prescribed benzo stuff were the only reason why I didn't need antibiotics then. I didn't get ProActive until I was 30 years old and I finally have clear skin. It's so worth the cost. |

Hey Curious, I have adult acne and I recently saw a dermatologist and she put me on a pill called Minocycline. She also perscribed benzoyl peroxide face wash. I then finish off by applying Clindamycin Phosphate and maaaaan does that stink!!!

Okay I'm excited of all things it seems that Derrick's acne
is going to maybe at least have a small help with the stuff from avon after all. I've tried everything more than once. I just decided to get some of this again and at least let him wash his face with the stuff again. But it seems to look better. And he says it feels much better. And it seems the other stuff might have been burning his skin from something he said. Donna |

The only thing that has ever worked for my kids, any of them, is oral minocycline. It does seem to make things worse, but after about 3 months their skin clears up. I had to take it too when I was a teen.
