Default I found you...I found you

I copied this from my post on the hydrocephalus forum as I'm just too tired to retype tonight.

WOW...I just found this site tonight. I've been waiting and watching for BT to come back online. Although I wasn't the poster I once was, I did read as often as I could. I sure have missed this place and everyone! This place has been my life line many days and nights.

Nikki is due on the 24th of October. I remember when she was just 6 weeks pregnant....time FLIES!!! She went in at 33 weeks with pre-term labor and they gave her the steriod shots for the babies lungs and a shot to stop her contractions. Nikki nor baby didn't take too well to the shot for the contractions. It really raised her heart rate and dropped baby girls. They were rushing her around for all kinds of test and at one point thought they may have to do an emergency c-section. Such Mommy stress for this grandma. I would much rather do this for her if I could.

She stayed in the hospital for 8 days. She was 3 centimeters dilated, 60% effaced and at zero station when she left two weeks ago. She has since been back two times, but the contractions aren't changing her cervics any. On Sunday, they sent her home and told her to walk. They don't feel like it will be long. With the hydrocephalus and Chiari, they will not let her go past 38 weeks. She is the cutest little thing. Doesn't even look pregnant from behind. And only has what looks like a little basketball belly. She is just now back to her pre-pregnancy weight. So out of what she lost, she's only gained 12 pounds. She has had to stay on the zofran due to the hyperemesis for the entire pregnancy.

Well, I'm off to catch up on other posts.

It's great to be back!

Nina

Hiya Nina and Nikki!!
WOW with BT being offline made her pregnancy go even faster to me. lol Little one will be here soon. I pray its an easy labor or C-section. I was nauseated the whole 9 months with Adam and only gained btwn 9 - 15 lbs with him the whole pregnancy and he weighed 9 lbs 10 oz at birth. You have any pics of Nikki pregnant? lol I didnt gain much weight with Adam but I looked like I had a HUGE watermelon on my stomach sticking right out front.

Welcome back, Nina! I can't believe Nikki is due so soon. Guess that's what happens when BrainTalk goes down for 2 months. Tell Nikki to keep that baby in as long as possible.

Oh my goodness, ((((((Nina)))))) + ((((((Nikki))))))

It rots that we've missed the whole pregnancy. I can't believe how much time has gone by.

You know I fell in love with your sweet daughter the minute I laid eyes on her

I've been so worried about y'all (all of you, 'scuse the little 'southern-speak' -- sneaks in once in awhile from my 4+ years of living in South Carolina )

I'm so glad that Nikki was able to retain the pregnancy. I'm praying for a healthy baby girl and an easy delivery for both Mom and Grandma.

You must have been totally tense and tight through this whole time. I wish we'd been available for you -- even just for cyber-hugs

Stay in touch and let us know how everything goes.

BIG HUGS (and love). And a little belly smunchie for the little one.

Wow, she is due so soon.

I didn't put on much weight with Carly, something like 17 lbs. I had gall stones and was eating so low fat I think I really lost weight except for the baby weight. Weighed less after giving birth than when I got pregnant.

We just had a baby girl added to our family about 2 weeks ago. My cousin had to have her cervix sewn up to keep the baby in.

Good luck. Can't wait to hear the good news.
