Hi there, I'm new to this but here goes...my 8 year old son recently had an assessment done to see if he was on the autistic spectrum. We waited around two years for this and when I went to the feedback meeting they said they weren't comfortable giving a diagnosis of ASD, but mentioned that he has 'features' of ASD, ADHD, and Dyspraxia. I'm not sure where to go from here really, I'm pleased he didn't get diagnosed with anything as such but I'm confused. I can ask for a second opinion if I want to but I'm not sure what to do. Any help much appreciated.
Thanks |

One day at a time and constancy. There will be good days and bad days. Don't worry about what labels are given, work on behavious and symptoms.

Public law (Fed) 94-142 says all handicapped children will receive appropiate educations. Some school boards worry about costs. Parents are the child's najor advocate.
