Smile Nathan's New Chunc Wheelchair

Nathan got his first wheelchair a few weeks ago. It is a new company here in the US-but has been in the UK for awhile. It is called a Chunc-and has been called the "Swatch Watch" of wheelchairs. I really, really like it so far. It was developed by a gentleman in the UK who has a daughter with special needs/cerebral palsy. He owns an aerospace company and was very disappointed in the chairs available in the UK. He had his engineers design this chair with the caregiver in mind.
Let me just say this company is top notch. They sent a chair out that was custom built for Nathan before we ever committed to purchasing it. The Rep that comes to show the chair is the actual man who built it. He has been to our Home Health Company a few times. We have discussed what we like/dislike about the chair-and he always goes back to "rework" it so that we are satisfied.
Nathan really likes it-this from a child who 9 months ago had to be held constantly. You can wheel it on the grass, rocks, gravel, and it is smooth. Nathan's also has tilt in space-since he lacks great head control.
Here is a pic of my big boy in it (he is now weighing in at 33lbs-the main reason we NEEDED this chair). Quite a difference from my Failure to Thrive boy 9 months ago!

Wow! He looks good. So glad you BOTH like the new chair. I looked at the company website. Sounds good, but you never know with company advertising.

He looks great!

Wish I would have heard about that company before we got Ethan into the Little Dipper. Its not working so far and we are basically stuck with it!

Wow - GREAT chair - How heavy is it?? Chase's chair is a pain in the rear - it's so freaking heavy and doesn't fold down or come apart easily. It looks so sporty and he looks super in it!!
