Neuro Psych 2007
Brief update: Gained in points on IQ 2004 : 2007: Verbal IQ 110 123 Performance IQ 90 94 Full Scale 100 109 Psych told us that again he is still learning BUT the gap between verbal and performance has gotten bigger, and that is not good. His reading went from K to 2nd Grade. His spelling went from K to 2nd Grade. His arithmetic K to 3rd Grade. Mind you, Kevin is headed into the 4th grade. “Kevin has constructional dyspraxia (or deficits in constructing figures on paper consistent with cerebral impairment). In contrast to the above deficits suggesting decreased efficiency of the right and non dominant cerebral hemisphere, aphasia (or deficits in language processing consistent with cerebral impairment). In addition, generalized impairment was indicated by deficits in auditory attention (to slowly presented perception (bilaterally), and conceptual reasoning.” The latter performance should be interpreted with some caution, though, because conceptual reasoning was evaluated after lunch when Kevin was thought to have had a lot of seizures activity and because in conjunction with this observation was Kevin’s parents’ report that Kevin generally demonstrates very good conceptual reasoning abilities.(Directly from the report). So, they did notice some seizures! Under the behavior or mood… everything was connected to either meds or to seizures. Hmmmm Trying to process all of this information. They gave 10 recommendations. Will list them later.
