Default does this look like seizure activity to you?

Zoe has been doing this for the past 30 minutes. I just took some footage of it. We have a call into the Neuro. She is breathing well but hard to arrise.

Does this look suspicious to you?

Be honest with me. Either way. I want to hear I am being over worried. But tell me your gut feeling.

I only saw maybe two seconds of it?

To be quite honest, you wanted honesty, right????

Instead of posting this to your neuro buddies...you should be calling promptly to your NEURO if it's been going on for 30 minutes.

dont take that the wrong way, it was just my opinion.

I called the neuro before even filming it.

I administered diastat after shooting the footage.

I could not arouse her. I could not stop the movement. I could not distract her.

Within 15 minutes of the diastat, she is responding. We just spent 5 minutes saying "hi" to each other back and forth.

I did hear back from the Neuro. He gave me the office email address for his assistant and I am to send him the footage. He will get back to us tommorow.

Diastat takes my kids sometimes hours to wear off completley, and one's 9 and one's almost 16..so it could be why she was a bit groggy and of course, if it were a seizure, post ictal. Hard to tell, was that how long the video was or did I miss something? She's sick too, isnt she? That makes them off the norm too with seizures.

Kamie,

It is hard to tell since I couldn't see her eyes. Aka, eyes rolled up is seizure activity. I don't know if this is a given for every seizure. But I was told when in doubt look to see what the eyes are doing.

Did you try to get her attention.

I was able to see the full 40 second video.

Ali et al, I saw the same 2 second thing to start then saw another window that was downloading the 7 mg file that contained the 40 second video.

Kamie, it was a little tough to tell also because she was curled up in a ball and bouncing on the bed. It was hard to hear if she was making any odd sounds over the background noises. Could you tell if she was making any noises?

How is she doing now?

The video was taken on my digital camera. Hence the poor quality. Her eyes were rolled up. She was making these grunting noises as well.

Now she is alert and active and trying to get at my laptop as I am typing this.

Well no matter how long I wait it doesn't load for me. Thanks for the tip Bec. BUT I hope that if it was a seizure it will be one of a kind. And since she was up and roaming so quickly thats a good thing right?

Hope the doc has an answer for you.

Carrie.
