Talking YEAH!!!!!!! We won... And a part time job for me.

We have been fighting for a Crossing Guard at our very busy intersection. (4 lanes of traffic all 4 sides)

We are only a half mile from school yet, the kids have to go through 2 sides of this intersection.

I told the guy at the Police Station that I would apply for the job if they approved us.

I just got the call today that we are approved. Now, I have an interview (need to schedule) with the Police. They will perform a polygraph and do a background check.

No big deal on any of that.

What do they pay?

$11 per shift, 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon so $22 a day.

If I don't miss any days in a quarter, they give a $100 bonus per quarter. Not too bad for an hour a day.

I am pretty excited. The parents are excited.

Hey, Melissa, if hired, I will officially be an employee of the Police Department.

There was a Police Officer at the intersection today playing crossing guard. You could tell he was REALLY excited (NOT) about that job. My thanks to him for doing it until I get my little job.
