Hello,
I'm 16yrs old i've looked for answers all over the internet never posted my condition just used google. But I cannot seem to find anything matching my case, I have not seen a doctor because I do not want to worry my parents but for about 3-4 Years now i have had shaking in my legs/toes/fingers/arms/hands and it would only happen maybe once every now and then... Untill a year ago when I started using a computer it started happening more.... and tonight when taking a bath my hand and pinky finger was shaking/twitching uncontrollably for about 5-10minutes. What could be the problem? This is my first time joining any health forum. Or forum for that matter... Thanks! Nick~ |

Hi Nick and welcome
you may want to do some research on tics induced by photosensitivity Many people with these kinds of tics find that using LCD screens instead of CRT helps and also always having daylight lamp on so room is never dark with flashing light. Most computer screens are LCD so not sure if yours is photosensitive induced tics can also be triggered by fluorescent lights etc From what you describe, it sounds almost like you are having tremors rather than tics, and again different things can be the cause of these I hope you will discuss this with your parents so they can maybe have some tests run for you

Hello Nick welcome to Neuro Talk, Chemar has a good point about discussing this with your parents, and probably the sooner the better so they can help to get you into the proper doctor you need to see, or be tested by.
The other point Chemar made was so many factors can attribute to what your symptoms are, and that depends on if its a tic or temor, too many factors to try and guess, and I am pretty sure your parents would agree, why guess when you can find out sooner and posibly get some meds they may hinder the tremors or tics. As a parent of 5, I admire your ambition and concern for your parents, but also as a parent, I am pretty sure they will want you to be healthy and taken care of, talk to them, good luck in your decision.
