Default Congenital heart abnomaly in my child

It was supposedly going to remedy itself, but it never did. Does anyone have a child with multiple heart murmurs that cause high blood pressure, exhaustion and extreme obesity to inactivity? I go annually to cardiology for her, but told last week it should be bi-annually, in fact the pediatrician is placing a urgent referral into pediatric cardiology for her now. I hate worrying like this. What causes this? Where did I go wrong? Did anyone have a child like mine that required corrective heart surgery?
