Default need a diagnosis

my 18 month old grandson has been hospitalized for 5 days originally w/pneumonia which has cleared but O2 and heart rate drop when he sleeps, he had a shunt put in at 6 mos for hydrocephalus w/seemingly no complications....chest x-ray is clear and local pediatricians are just well...nothing...we're frustrated and see no end in sight...baby seems to do okay on room air during wakeful times but is worse than when he started at night. darn it all.

Hi jenw,
Gosh, I'm very sorry you posted so long ago and received no replies. I also see it was your first message to Neurotalk.

If you come back to check messages, please let us know how your grandson is doing now. I sure hope that he's doing well and that you found some answers. I apologize again for you having no replies. Unfortunately this forum is very quiet lately.
