Had an ACDF at c6/7 in 2006, with excellent results, complete pain relief.
Had another ACDF at c5/6 in March 2010, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. My herniation from the c5/6 was on the left. The pain on the left side of my neck and into my left arm is gone, however I have severe pain in between my shoulder blades and into my right arm. The right side of my neck is extremely painful. I had on epidural injection with minimal relief. I have taken Lyrica with terrible side effects, severe diarrhea. My Pain Mang. Doc told me he will not give me anymore epidurals since the first one did not provide much relief. I asked about a rhizotomy(burning of the nerves) the doc advised again I was not a candidate. I have been taking norco 5 mg now for 7 months, which provides the best relief. I started taking neuroton about a week ago, but have not noticed much change. The neuroton is making me very dizzy and foggy. Any other suggestions, I am desperate. My Pain Mang. Doc told me I am running out of options for Treatment.

do you know if scar tissue is the culprit? if it is, you could be a candidate for the Racz procedure, which breaks up scar tissue. it. has to be done within 6 months to one year of surgery. the sooner the better. ask your pain docs about this procedure (pronounced racks). as i said, it's only for scar tissue tho.

also, you might ask the doc about the scs or morphine pump. you could be a candidate for either of those. the scs is spinal cord stimulator. either of those coule relieve your pain. i'd opt for the morphine pump if it were me. i had the scs and hated it and had to have it removed.

I was hoping to possibly add something to your thread. Instead, I had a great deal of difficulty in simply understanding what you were even talking about with all the acronyms and stuff.

Not a total loss as I read the responses I learned new information I'd never been exposed to before. But did get enough to know there are other specific boards that may better address the other aspects of your unique situation. That would be my hope anyway.
