lolo, I'm so sorry to say I don't have any answers for you.
I wanted to however say welcome to the forum and hopefully someone will be along soon with some answers for you.
I have dealt with a lot of cancer with members of my family but not this one.

I didn't think that there were any signs of early Pancreatic cancer. If you think there is any possibility that you have a problem, go immediately to the doctor. It takes quite a while with most insurance to get from PC to tests to specialist to surgery if necessary.

The doctor will be able to answer your question, but more importantly give you the peace of mind you need.

Oh, you also asked about treatment, I would assume based on my experience with other types of cancer, that treatment would be surgery and then chemo if cancer is actually present. For most abdominal cancers, radiation isn't used since it would be too close to too many perfectly healthy organs. That, I'm sure, varies from doctor to doctor though.

My stepfather died from PC due to a misdiagnosis the MRI never detected . We knew something was wrong when his legs would start giving out mowing the lawn, also he would complain of HIGH back pain. they were operating on him for leg arteries when they found something that led to a biopsy of the pancreas. He died 6 days later never leaving the hospital. Also had a friend who served in Viet Nam and by the time the VA found it it was too late, he also complained of leg pain and pain HIGH in his back. Its hard to find this early in its stages, but if caught early recovery rates are good. Finding a good doctor is imperative in this situation. Good Luck

My Mother passed away five years ago from PC. Unless there are new treatments now that I haven't heard of, there is no cure for PC.
My Mother complained of back pain very much and her tummy was really swollen. From the time she was diagnosed and the time she passed was 8 months.
IF, you think there is a possibility of PC in your family, please go to the doctor as soon as possible.
