Default Letter to those NOT in Chronic pain

I found this while researching the Epidural steroid injections I'll be starting next Wednesday, and I was amazed at how exact and "right on" this letter/article is- I couldn't wait to share with my forum family, who I knew could also appreciate it.

There is a whole website called LifeinPain.Org, and they have a Facebook page also, if anyone is interested. I've already "liked" them.

This is very good indeed and has been around on the internet for many years. It was written by a friend of my daughter.
The problem is that while it expresses our thoughts and emotions very well, it won't mean nearly as much to others who have their own worries to fill their minds, and don't really want to get too involved.
I've often felt that way about other people's illness and problems-I'm sympathetic but have enough things of my own to worry about.
And I think that is a general feeling among the populace. Look at what we see and read in the news, yet how much of that REALLY gets to us?
So pass it around, but don't expect long lasting enlightenment!
