I am sorry to hear you have CRPS. Am I understanding correctly that you had surgery in Jan of this year 2012. Have the doctors told you, you have CRPS. I am sure other members will add comments but I am concerned by your comments you think it will be months before you can see a specialist. It is critical with CRPS you start treatment since early treatment gives the best chances of getting CRPS into remission. Physical thearpy the mainstay, but not to much and not to little, and of course the usual medications. Never, never use ice on your CRPS hand since ice can make the condition worse. It is possible for you to meet with a physical therapist who is well versed in CRPs and get going on that at least, as well as standard meds. You can just call around to medical centers and ask how much experience they have had with working with CRPS. Please keep us udpated as to how you are doing. We all care and we are all hoping the best outcome for you. Joydee |
