I'm not an expert on Crohn's disease, but my sister had it. Alot depends on the severity of it. Sometimes it can be controlled by diet, and if it's severe it may require surgery to remove part of the colon. My sister had to have part of her colon removed. That doesn't mean you have to have a colostomy, necessarily. My sister didn't require one. But after surgery she had to be careful of her diet. For instance, she couldn't eat breads that had sesame seeds on it, or fruit with seeds, there were some vegetables she couldn't eat like corn, as she wasn't able to digest it. There were other foods too, but like I said, I'm not an expert.

If you look it up -- it's spelled CROHN'S --- you'll find many articles about it.

I wish you the very best. God bless and please take care! Hugs, Lee
