Default Disability report

Have posted in other groups about problems I am having getting medication for my pain. Like to post my disability report, lot of big words, never looked them up to see what they mean. Sure it's not good.

100% total and permanent disability, being orthopedic, neurological and psychiatric in nature for cervicial, dorsal, lumbar strain/sprain, bulging disks C5-6,C6-7, herniated disks T2-3, T7-8, T11-12, herniated disks L4-5, L5-S1, left sacroiliac joint dysfunction, post traumatic facet joint syndrome lumbar spine, status post lumbar epidural blocks and left sacroiliac joint injections, status post microdiskectomy L4-5. aggravation of pre-exisiting quiescent osteoarthritis of thoraic spine, chronic pain syndrome, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, bilateral cervical radiculitis, bilateral lumbar radiculopathy, cervical, thoracic and lumbar myofasical pain syndrome. Have been to 4 doctors in 10 days. All want to give me more epidurals( have had 6,no help) and no pain meds. All say I have Opioid Induced Hyperalgesia. That combined with depression is causing pain. I think my pain is causing depression. Dr. monday said he dosent care about my pain, everyone is in pain. Took that to me I'm full of ****. I dont drink. smoke and never used
drugs till the accident. Worst pain is burning down both legs into feet. Feet go numb and get pins and needle feeling. Pain is unrelenting and unbearable. Have to go God knows how many days without pain meds till I find another Dr. 3rd post tonight but it takes my mind off my misery.

Why won't they at LEAST put you on something like Topamax or Lyrica for the nerve pain? I don't understand it! Those are NOt opiates -- they're usually used for seizures, but they found out that they worked for nerve pain. If you could get THAT pain under control, you'd feel loads better!

Maybe if you asked them to Rx one of those meds, they wouldn't be so quick to say NO. I do best on Topamax. I've been on that for a long time, and it took ALL my nerve pain away. Many folks are on Gabapentin, but that made me gain all sorts of weight because of water retention! It made me loopy too!

Anyway -- see what happens. Ask for nerve pain meds instead of opiates, or actual pain meds. maybe they'll say ok. God bless and take care. Hugs, lee

Thank You. I NEVER ask dr.s for any meds, narcotic/nerve,,,,anything. I just sit there and let them talk. I have lyrica, helps. Have tried neurontin, Celebrex,Cymbalta, found Lyrica does work best. I figure its two things, If they dont perscribe pain meds DEA will never hear of them. 2.Epidurals cost round $3000 shot(when workers comp was paying for treatment used to get copy of bills) office visit and script $200-$300. I refuse to believe that everyone in my condition would benefit from epidurals. If they helped me at all I would gladly have more. If a Dr. told me I had to Sacrifice an animal to help my pain I would. And I love animals. Hate being in pain. I hate going to the Drs. Hate being at there mercy. Hate feeling helpless.

Thanks. Just pain in the *****. Had a great dr up till 2010. Would ween me off oxycodone to see if a non-narcotic option would work. When pain intensified would go back to oxycodone. He said problem is I have two herniations pressing on nerves since 2006. That was 4 years ago, now 7. In 2006 Dr. did microdisk surgery on L4-5, he said L5-S1 was falling apart so he couldnt cut herniation out there. Two week after surgery L4-5 was herniated again. Dr said I have recurrrent herniation syndrome, couldnt do another operation. My only option now is fusion which I really dont want. But, back to the doctors.
I know not everyone in pain needs narcotic pain meds. Im not going to a doctor saying I pulled a muscle or had knee surgery 10 years ago but it still hurts, give me oxycontin. I dont know how a pain management doctor could not prescribe narcotic pain meds to ANY PATIENT!!! Its like wanting to be a surgeon but you faint at the site of blood. Go into another field. And the ones that dont perscribe pain meds dont mind wanting to stick needles into your back, even if the last 9 shots did nothing. Bunch of S**t. So the two Drs I saw this week, and when I called I ask if they treat with ONLY injections told no,doctor will evaluate your case and decide how to treat. First words out of the drs mouths when they come into room," I dont write scripts for narcotics".
Then I have to listen to how if THEY had given me the epidurals and joint injections over the years I wouldnt be in pain now. Go F**k yourselves.
So im 50 year old former military, Teamster truck driver sitting on the couch crying cuz my legs are burning so bad I want to put a gun to my head. Where I live you cant swing a dead cat without hitting someone selling pain meds.Never in my life will I use one of these scumbags. There for drug addicts. Im just in pain.
