Default Cant deal with it anymore

Hi I am new and over excited to have found you'll, I have been in pain for so many years that I really don't remember when it started. Over the years I have dealt with sever kidney pain and then Fibro pain and now with perhivial neuropathy. 2years ago I finally found a pain management Dr. That took on my case and I have been with him ever since, even though I take a lot of pain meds it seems like its never enough,so I am glad that you all are here to talk too. Thanks.

Hello and welcome! You're in good company. Many of us have been in lots of pain for years too, and understand what it's like.

I've been a chronic painer for almost 28 years now, due to severe spinal issues and was recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I've had 3 spinal surgeries, one was a spinal cord stimulator implant and later removal. The others were for herniated discs. If I'd known then what I know now, I never would have let them touch me. My surgeries were before the internet, so I couldn't research things like I can now. NO WAY would I have had surgery!!!! I'm now disabled because of it.

I'm glad you found us, and I hope you find the information that you need. You'll find a lot of great people here. So feel free to post and vent any time you feel the need.

Again welcome, and I hope we hear more from you. God bless and take care. Hugs, Lee

Default Thanks for welcoming

Thank you for anwsering to me,I really needed to hear from somebody,I am so tired so that I could sleep and sleep some more I mean some is because of the meds, but most is from my body needing it and taking it whether I want to or not,but nobody understands, they just see it as me being lazy not wanting to do any housework raise the grandkids or do anything else. I am so tired of having to deal with the pain on a daily base even at night I have times where I wake up every 2 hours until I finally give in and get up. I think I am loosing my husband over this because this is something that you can't see or touch or even explained you have to experience yourself.

You mean to tell me that your husband doesn't understand that you're in pain? Can you take him to your doctor's appointment next time and let the DOCTOR tell him??? THEN he'd believe the doctor, wouldn't he?

That's the problem with many of us -- our pain cannot be SEEN! Gosh, do we have to be bloody before anyone will believe us? I would THINK that your own husband would believe you!

I'm so sorry you're going thru this. It's terrible that you aren't even getting support from your husband. It's bad enough when extended family and friends don't support us, but jeez --- when your husband won't!!!

Keep venting, my friend. It will do you good. But like I said, take him to your next doctor's appointment -- THEN he'll HAVE to believe you!!! God bless and please take care! Hugs, Lee

Hi Excausted. I'm so sorry you are having to go through this without support. I have not had chronic pain for very long but I understand already how difficult it is to explain pain that no one can see.

I hope that you will get some more support from the people in your life but remember we are all here and we understand.

I hope that you will get more people in your life who can/will give you the support you need.

Tell anyone else to come here and we'll straighten them out

Hi! Yes, all too familiar. Nobody would ever choose this this way to live. I'm constantly "burning" at various sites of my body and it's just really beyond words at times. All the various situations that arise, so tough to deal with. People (spouse, relatives, friends) are judgemental and difficult. Everything seems uphill, out of reach, a day late, a dollar short, on and on. It's a good thing for you to vent here- it will keep you sane. No doubting here- we believe you can find relief by talking here.and discussing our problems. I found relief by not trying to always restore my life to the way it was; those days are over. Now, I work on what I can do now. I'm still finding my new "normal". It's hard but I'm not giving up! Hang in there and stick with your life- learn to do what you can do. Take care, sfink
